Born in 1939 and raised right next to his father’s small business in Vienna, he took over the company in 1967 and, together with his wife Hermine, expanded it into the leading tool grinding shop in the Vienna area.
When the company was reorganized into a GmbH in 1993, he handed over management of the business to his sons Wolfgang and Robert Kraus. With his optimism, his drive, and his even-tempered nature, he guided the company’s growth and international expansion and remained at the company every day until the ripe old age of 83.
After a slow decline, he passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 19, 2026.
He remained a kind and lovable person until the very end, and we will always remember him fondly.
